Kenta Kurihara is a former Japanese professional baseball player known for his powerful batting and leadership as a first baseman and designated hitter. Playing primarily for the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) from 2002 to 2014, Kurihara was a key figure in the Carp's lineup, earning the Central League Best Nine Award in 2008. That year, he hit 23 home runs and had 103 RBIs, showcasing his offensive prowess. Kurihara also represented Japan in the 2009 World Baseball Classic, where he contributed to the team's victory in securing the championship. His career is remembered for his consistency and clutch performances in the Japanese league.
