These gas stations not only support their traditional fuel business but also act as collection hubs for used cooking oil to produce SAF, reinforcing their role in Japan’s decarbonization efforts. Financially, Cosmo continues to perform as one of the country’s major refiners, maintaining stable revenues amid global shifts in the energy market. Its recent initiatives reflect a focus on balancing profitability with sustainability, transforming its long-standing network into an essential platform for Japan’s transition to a cleaner energy future.
